American coffee is very popular in North America and in Central Europe but it is also becoming appreciated in Italy. To make it, you use an electrical equipment or a kit consisting of a ceramic cone resting on a glass container. In the machine and in the manual kit a paper filter is used, which must be filled with ground coffee, the extraction times vary between 2 and 5 minutes. A light-bodied and slightly fragrant drink is obtained and is served in cups that can hold about 200 ml. The ratio coffee/water is approximately 60 grams of ground coffee per liter of water. American coffee can be served with the addition of milk or flavored with ginger, cardamom or cinnamon. It is a drink that allows many variations.
